Old Poles can be recycled into retaining walls, fence post or wood material fo agricultural uses. This disposal method may be deemed the most environmentally responsible due to the lack of emissions or environmental concerns depending on the type of wood waste to be recycled.  Many yards stockpile whole utility poles which can remain the same length or be cut down into desirable length. Wood waste recycling is typically the most affordable waste management

WTE is a method of generating energy using wood waste poles. Through a process of high temperature incineration the oowd waste is converted into a new energy source.  The derivative of this wood waste management contributes to a small percentage of the electric energy used in the United States.
